Cold Afternoon Musings
Scribbling my thoughts while warming up. January gets even colder everyday. It's dropped down by degrees since last week, along with the gloomy weather outdoors. I am a city's dweller since I was a baby so I don't mind much lack of light. I just try to make the most out of the cold season and make it pretty much brighter.
So much to do today, but I don't feel like doing it. The house feels like a huge fridge freezing all that there is, the walls, the floors, you can't even walk barefooted. Hot coffee turns cold in a flash. The water running in the faucet is as cold as ice, mind you, I have a few dishes in the sink, which I will have to tend to after this. Brrr!!! Oh, the warm bed is always a good idea but staying out of the ordinary or maybe not so ordinary? I'm snuggling in the cozy couch, while the little ones are cuddling up, busy watching their favorite tv show. And here I am blogging, bundled up with a throw and maybe later if my eyes already get blurry, I'll create a playlist of jazzy or classical songs that sets my mood and just attuned myself to the rhythm of nature. Cheers to a hot cup of coffee, nice pair of fuzzy socks and a pretty warm slippers too!
